PUDUCHERRY
India

¿WHY PUDUCHERRY?

India is a special place, this is unquestionable.

A place where globalization has failed to convince the inhabitants to abandon their traditional and colorful clothes and move to conventional and gray ones, or where ancestral medicines persist despite the progress of modern medicine.

Considering that India is full of megalopolises (more than 10,000,000 inhabitants), Puducherry is a small Indian village, with 600,000 inhabitants, plus it is close to the ocean, it has a tropical climate and there is an international airport nearby. It seemed perfect for us to be part of our 12 possible lives project.

And there's more: here we have the possibility to know some peculiar things about Puducherry:

  • The Ashram of Sri Aurobindo

  •  The school where children learn by themselves. Not to get a diploma, not to earn money or have a good social position, but for the pleasure of discovering how the world works and how to contribute to its improvement.

  • Auroville: The village of the experimental community where about 2500 people from 50 different countries live without money (at least that's the theory).
