MOVIES
These are the movies that have accompanied us in these months and that have made us better understand the places we visit or have helped us to have a more critical view of something that is happening nowadays and therefore we want to share them with you:
INDIA
A place with an incredible (and very different) cultural richness that needs all possible help to be "understood" (at least in part).
For example, anyone who has seen a Bollywood film will know that for them our idea of film structure is VERY SHORT ("presentation-knot-development").
They have something like: "Presentation of problem 1 - knot - resolution of problem 1 - presentation of problem 2 - knot - resolution of problem 2..." and so on indefinitely for 3 hours.

Dangal
An Indian wrestling champion, disenchanted with his sport's treatment in India, sets himself a goal in life: That his son succeeds in winning internationally by representing his country.
But there are some difficulties along the way...
Totally recommendable (Infinite thanks Soumnya!)
3 idiotas
There are a thousand reflections within this film, but the first one is about education. The main characters wonder if we study to learn or to obtain the certificate (which allows a decent life later) and there are enough situations that allow us to glimpse the level of pressure to which the students are submitted in the Indian universities. All this is accompanied by the madness of the dances and the most amusing songs and the most absurd situations. It is a roller coaster of emotions, where you go from laughing to feeling absolute sorrow.
Pink
So that you don't think that only Bollywood films are made in India, we present you a film that still in Spain (with some cultural differences) would "bother" some people.
3 girls go to the house of some boys for a party. The boys assume the presence and freedom of the girls ("they drink beer") as an invitation to do what they want with them.
I don't want to spoil the film, but questions such as why they went to the boys' house if they didn't want to have sex, how they were dressed that night, or whether or not they had drunk alcohol seem more important than any action done by those "poor boys incapable of containing their impulses...".
Lion
True story. A small child (from a very humble single parent family) gets lost in India (in one of his adventures with his brother) and goes on to live incredible situations until he is adopted by a family in Australia. When all goes well, he begins to remember his origins and feels the need to find his real family.
Darjeeling Limited
This film allows, in a rather surreal train journey, to discover incredible places of India.
The protagonists are Westerners in search of the Indian spirituality that unites them, and it's fun to see their cultural shock (in addition to the fact that the director is brilliant).
